Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO NEO DLC — Official Guide

Searches such as dragon ball sparking zero neo dlc, sparking zero dlc release date, and dlc characters all point to the same need: a source-backed list of what Bandai Namco actually shipped versus what is still rumor. This guide covers DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO only. It does not document the unconfirmed game name Dragon Ball: Dragon Fighters .

What is the official status of Super Limit-Breaking NEO?

Verified Super Limit-Breaking NEO is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam as of July 30, 2026, per Bandai Namco Entertainment America’s launch article. Bandai Namco Europe’s product page lists the same 30/07/2026 date.

Verified The publisher describes NEO as the largest DLC for Sparking! ZERO to date. Official highlights include:

• Limit Breaker Journey — a new solo progression mode.
• 33 new playable characters across Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball GT (character names appear in the July 30 press release body).
• Four new Episode Battles, extra battles, and four new stages.
• A free update on the same day adding Sparking Boost and Chain Blast mechanics for all players, per the European launch news post.

Verified Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions of NEO are not dated July 30; the launch press release places them in 2027.

We do not list MSRP, Steam review percentages, or sales here—they change and are not needed to answer DLC status questions.

How does the Season Pass relate to NEO?

Verified Bandai Namco Europe’s DLC index separates products clearly:

• Season Pass — bundles three DLC packs (listed as Hero of Justice Pack, Dragon Ball DAIMA: Character Pack 1, and Shallot, with Season Pass Shenron bonus and early access rules on that page).
• Super Limit-Breaking NEO — standalone major expansion, not counted inside the Season Pass product description.

Earlier Dragon Ball DAIMA: Character Pack 2 shipped in 2025 as its own pack (Bandai Namco news, September 2025). It is part of the pre-NEO DLC line, not the NEO expansion.

If you own only the Season Pass, you still need to buy NEO separately unless you purchased a bundle edition that explicitly includes both (Steam’s Legendary Edition description lists both, verified on store text).

What did Bandai Namco announce before NEO launched?

Verified Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 (April 19–20, 2026) first detailed the Limit-Breaking NEO DLC brand, including a Survival Mode free update dated April 21, 2026 in Bandai Namco Japan’s Battle Hour summary (PR TIMES).

Verified On July 23, 2026, Bandai Namco posted a producer video confirming the July 30, 2026 NEO launch and summarizing Limit Breaker Journey content—useful if you need a publisher-hosted recap between reveal and release.

What is officially planned after NEO?

Verified An October 2026 second-anniversary article on Bandai Namco Europe mentions ongoing events, free updates, and future paid DLC with platform-dependent timing. It also notes Cross Play entering a beta after Summer 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series, and Steam, plus modes such as Mission 100 SP and Survival Mode SP—all described as part of a forward roadmap, not dated individual releases.

Not announced No official name, price, or calendar date is attached to the “additional paid DLC” sentence as of November 3, 2026.
